-I WILL MISS YOU-

my Track & Field life in cedar has just ended just-like-that on the 18th of july 2007. i never knew that 4 years could have past by so quickly. i remember always complaining and dreading cross country training in sec 1 and 2 AND not forgetting those 'torturing' endurance trainings that i hate most, be it in sec 1, 2, 3 or 4. sighs. i guess there isnt a chance for me to complain and to show 'that freaking face' to MR TAY anymore. hahaha! i never knew that it would end so quickly. so i guess it happened so fast that it hasnt sunken in yet. i just cannot believe it... ohh wells. being in cedar track has taught me a lot of things and has CERTAINLY made me a stronger person. i guess i have grown quite a lot just by being in cedar's track alone. i really want to thank everyone who has believed in me, enouraged me and done all they could for me. i dont wish to mention names cuz im afraid that i might leave out names but im very sure you teachers and coaches out there know who you all are. from the bottom of my heart, i really want to thank each and every teacher/coach who has made me to who i am today. from the bottom of my heart, i sincerely say to each and every one of the teachers/coaches, 'thank you VERY much for what you have done for me. i really appreciate it. thank you so so much for what you have done for me. i will certainly too, remember all the lessons you have taught me be it about studies or about track. thank you so much'. ohh wells, lastly, all i can say is 'GOOD-BYE'. :)

-IT SURE IS 'GOOD-BYE'-

Training time: 3pm-6.10pm
Venue: bishan stadium
Weather: sunny
Rating: * * *

Schedule: wall drills – side drills x 30 each leg, sit down drills – (each hand x 20) x 3, (lead leg x 20 each leg) x 3, (lead, trail leg x 20) x 3, 5 hurdles – side dancing drills back and forth x 5 each side.

Reflection: everything was okay but the dancing drills were VERY tiring. This part “saved” me from feeling bad, as I didn’t do much for today’s training. Without this as part of the schedule, I would not have felt that good. Ohh wells, I said that I wasn’t feeling that well – it’s like when I run, I feel tired so easily and im kinda short of breath. My muscles feel weak too. The overall feeling was bad when I was doing the drills… that’s all I can say, I guess… need and want to get back my fitness. bo0-ya then. +)

*finally back for training. HEH. training stopped for so long cuz of the mid-year examinations.

Training time: 2.30pm – 6.00pm
Venue: bishan stadium
Weather: cloudy/drizzle
Rating: * * *

Schedule: wall drills – (side drills x 20 each leg) x 3, sit down drills – (hands x 20) x 3, (lead leg x 20) x 3, (lead, trail leg x 20 each leg) x 3, 5 hurdles – 1 stride hurdling x 3, exercises – (crunches, back raisers, front leg swing each leg, side leg swing each leg, step up each leg) x 20.

Reflections: how else can I feel? Hahaha. I don’t know but I feel kinda ‘not strong’. I have not been training for so long. I guess it’ll take a long time for me to get back my fitness. Today’s training was surprisingly light for me, EXCEPT for the side drills. It was a killer? Hahaha. I was so tired after that. Hahaha bo0-ya then. +)

*rain + having the amazing and inspiring ‘I am gifted, so are you’ follow-up session = no training on Friday (13th april 2007).

Training time: 4.30pm-6.15pm (sports day heats – 100m & 4x100m)
Venue: bishan stadium
Weather: cloudy
Rating: * * *

Schedule: 250m x 1, block starts x 3.

Reflection: training wasn’t that tough today and surprisingly, I managed to survive after the 250m run! Hahaha. I was actually quite happy about that fact though. Haha ohh wells, I nothing much to comment on already and so… bo0-ya then! +)

*kinda figured it out now. Feeling a lot better.

*it feels great to know what went wrong. It feels even greater when you tell/psycho yourself not to make that mistake again.

Training time: 3.00pm-5.30pm
Venue: school
Weather: sunny
Rating: * * *

Schedule: 6 hurdles – 3 strides – shortened distance – x 3.

Reflection: I felt a lot better after figuring it out after Monday’s training. Yeah. Ohh wells, for the first set, I wasn’t able to clear well and I wasn’t really that satisfied. After that set, I kept myself focused and I kept telling/”psycho-ing” myself the right things to do when I am running/hurdling – it took me a long time before I did my next set cuz I wanted to do well – and I did it – I felt fast. The feeling was great. For the last set, everything was going smoothly (I think) until my foot (lead leg) kicked one of the hurdles, whereby I kinda slowed down. I’ll have to learn even more about how to pick up my speed once I lose my balance. Mr seem pointed out that my trail leg hanged. I will definitely work on that. Bo0-ya then. +)

Monday, April 9, 2007

*there wasn’t any training cuz… (missing post reasons): Thursday – VS invitation relay, Saturday/Sunday – National Junior.

Training time: 3.30pm-6.00pm
Venue: toa payoh stadium
Weather: sunny
Rating: * *

Schedule: 6 hurdles – 3 strides – shortened distance – x 3.

*the pressure’s on.

Reflection: jiao lian told me that I have to keep tall and I’ll work on that. +) other than that, I seriously have nothing to say… bo0-ya then.

Wednesday, April 4, 2007

Training time: 3.15pm-6.00pm
Venue: toa payoh stadium
Weather: cloudy
Rating: * * *

Schedule: 4 hurdles – 5 stride hurdling x 2, 7 stride hurdling x 2.

Reflection: nothing much for today’s training. I was actually quite surprised that training was that short today. Ohh wells. I sure hope nothing goes wrong. I’ll have faith in myself and I’ll trust myself. Yeah. +) bo0-ya. +)

Monday, April 2, 2007

Training time: 3.30pm-6.15pm
Venue: bishan stadium
Weather: sunny
Rating: * * *

Schedule: 8 hurdles – shorten distance – 3 strides x 3, 200m x 1, (butt exercise x 20 both legs x 20) x 2.

Reflection: I don’t know why but for the hurdles schedule I didn’t feel as fast and as great except maybe for the last set. The first 2 sets, I felt, was quite bad as I didn’t feel fast and I felt as if I was more of opening up my stride length than running. However, I kept telling myself that I could do it and kept thinking about running fast in between the hurdles and finally, for the last set, I was able to do it and thus, I was happy! +) ohh wells, the 200m run was CRAZY. After that run, I tell you, I was “dead”. Sheesh whatever. Bo0-ya. +)

Friday, March 30, 2007

Training time: 3pm-5.55pm
Venue: kallang practice track
Weather: cloudy
Rating: * * * *

Schedule: 60m x 3, 100m x 3, 200m x 2.

Reflection: I cant believe that i completed the schedule. After all the 100m runs, I was deadbeat and I really didn’t expect to complete the schedule. My timings for the 200m runs were like s*i* but hey! I COMPLETED my schedule! I FINISHED the runs! At least I did it okay. Heh. bo0-ya then. +)

Wednesday, March 28, 2007

*had competition on Saturday and Sunday (SPH relays) and thus, this explains the many missing posts – we didn’t have training.

Training time: 3.00pm-6.00pm
Venue: toa payoh stadium
Weather: cloudy/drizzle
Rating: * * * *

Schedule: 3 hurdles – 5 stride hurdling (higher height) x 4, 21m away from first hurdle and 5 stride hurdling to the next hurdle (higher height) x 3, 3 hurdles – 5 stride hurdling, 6 hurdles – one stride hurdling x 2, 150m x 1.

Reflection: I felt quite good for training today as I was able to clear the hurdles fairly well? I don’t know but I sure do hope it’s okay. Didn’t expect to do a P.B for the 150m though. Hehe. Ohh wells then, bo0-ya. +)
