i never knew that it would end so quickly. so i guess it happened so fast that it hasnt sunken in yet. i just cannot believe it... ohh wells. being in cedar track has taught me a lot of things and has CERTAINLY made me a stronger person. i guess i have grown quite a lot just by being in cedar's track alone. i really want to thank everyone who has believed in me, enouraged me and done all they could for me. i dont wish to mention names cuz im afraid that i might leave out names but im very sure you teachers and coaches out there know who you all are. from the bottom of my heart, i really want to thank each and every teacher/coach who has made me to who i am today. from the bottom of my heart, i sincerely say to each and every one of the teachers/coaches, 'thank you VERY much for what you have done for me. i really appreciate it. thank you so so much for what you have done for me. i will certainly too, remember all the lessons you have taught me be it about studies or about track. thank you so much'. ohh wells, lastly, all i can say is 'GOOD-BYE'. :)

-IT SURE IS 'GOOD-BYE'-

Training time: 3pm-6.10pm
Venue: bishan stadium
Weather: sunny
Rating: * * *

Schedule: wall drills – side drills x 30 each leg, sit down drills – (each hand x 20) x 3, (lead leg x 20 each leg) x 3, (lead, trail leg x 20) x 3, 5 hurdles – side dancing drills back and forth x 5 each side.

Reflection: everything was okay but the dancing drills were VERY tiring. The "awesome" thing was that I was PANTING and kinda tired out by the time we finished the last set. I had a strong “competitor” to run with. Good thing though… I can improve myself. +) However for the first 100m run, I was quite surprised with my timing. Yes, it is a fast timing but I can hardly believe it… hmm probably it wasn’t that accurate afterall... Ohh well, so much for a good timing… my second run was like s*i*. HAHA. Sorry lar… Put aside the language please… freaking exhausted out today… ohh well. Felt like s*i* after the second 100m run and that was when my mental strength went downhill and I meant, it literally went DOWNHILL. I was freaking making use of any excuse I had in order to tell myself that I “couldn’t” run anymore. It seems like when I have put my mind into something, it is very hard for myself, or even anyone, to convince me to do it the other way – it can be done but really, a lot of effort is needed to do that. Ohh well, after doing the bounding, it seemed as if I was ‘okay’ already and so, in order not to feel guilty, I told myself to do the 200m, lest I would regret. True enough, I managed to do it but I didn’t complete the whole schedule though… I was supposed to do 200m x 2. Well, at the very least, I did ONE… sheesh. Anyways, siti: thanks loads for accompanying me to do the bounding. You did extra cuz of me! Ahh. Thank you. +) wah… it seems as if I am writing an essay… heh. Aha whatever… if jiao lian didn’t say, I wouldn’t have noticed at all. 100m - what she said was totally true. My first part is fast but it is always the last 20-30m that I always seem to slow down. It seems as if I am “accustomed” to do it this way and I am sure that this is something that I will have to change. Sheesh. The 100m runs were horrible for me. Hmm but for the second part, with about 2/5 of the schedule done, I then started to feel the tiredness and I did my best to fight it. I somehow managed to fight the tiredness and completed the schedule. Ohh ya, the last 4 sets of the second set was really tiring for me and I have really got to in a way, thank the person I was running with cuz I tell you, she is FAST. It was more of ME keeping up with her, instead of the other way around. Anyway, I somehow did my best to keep up. You see… I more senior here mah and yet, I have to try and keep up with her. Ohh well. Nothing much today but what I can say is that today’s training was kinda bad – the right side of my hip/back hurts! Omg. It really does hurt not when I run but after my run – when I walk. It got worst as I ran more. Ohh well, my mental strength kept me from completing the schedule. I was supposed to do 4 sets of 150m. Sighs… After the 3rd set, my mental strength gave in and all I was thinking was, ‘I don’t want to run anymore’. I felt really horrible and kinda scared. Hmm. Ohh yeah. Whatever… I got back my primary school injury. So much for doing the small jumps. Yeah. Sorry for the language today. I’m just not in the mood. Hmm never mind, I shall think of SIMPLE PLAN! this was because i attended the 'im gifted, so are you' programme and this programme really woke me up and inspired me. i have totally no regrets attending this course. the speakers rocks! they really do rock. the course took place in school, 3rd january 2007 - 5th january 2006.

training time: 3.45pm-5.55pm (had biology diagnostic test)
venue: school
weather: sunny
rating: * * * *

schedule: 6 hurdles - hurdling over (shortened distance) x 3, 3 strides for first 5 hurdles and 5 strides for last hurdle x 3, 4 hurdles - height of trail leg is higher than lead leg x 2, height of lead leg is higher than trail leg x 2, alternate heights x 1, one stride hurdling - 3m, 3.5m, 4m x 1 each.

reflection: ohh my goodness! today's training was awesome! it was better than what i had expected. after doing the drills, i was quite breathless but i "psycho-ed" myself to get rid of the feeling of tiredness and i did it. +) ohh well, the main highlight of today's training was the part when i had to clear the hurdles of higher height. i did it before but i did not feel fast. this did not make me feel that motivated. as i fell last time cuz of the raised in height, i used this excuse to tell myself that i was not going to be able to clear it. i "scolded" myself silently in my mind and i scolded myself for about 30m (i walked and scolded myself). when mr.tay called for me to run, i walked back the same 3om and scolded myself again. i scolded myself for using the fact that the lack in speed to say that i had a phobia of the raised height, which was not the true case. i kept telling myself that 'blaming' is something that i should never do and that i should take up the responsibility. so, before running, i told myself that i could do it, instead of thinking that i couldnt, like what i did before and therefore, failed to clear the hurdle. i kept telling myself that i could do it and i did it! the feeling was awesome! +) hmm, though i looks and feels weird, well, i did it! as i felt weird, i tried my best to change the weirdness while doing the subsequent sets, now that i have been thinking positive, thinking that i CAN do it. +) ohh well, the highlight's over and so is this reflection. bo0-ya! On the 2nd run, jiao lian told me to run faster and so, on the 3rd set, I did and I was quite breathless after that. Since jiao lian told me to run faster, for the subsequent sets, I ran faster! Wee* I am happy cuz I did it and completed the schedule. The exercises were okay but the tubing was quite a killer. There was a lot of lactic acid but I completed it anyway! Ohh yeah, I wanted to give a rating of four stars actually but it because when I asked jiao lian if I ran very slowly during my runs, she said yes… omg… sheesh. I feel terrible. it sure was relaxing and i somehow loved today's long run! +) as for the starting of the long run, i noticed that it wasnt that good as many people overtook me - i was afraid that i might "lose" all my energy. hmm. that mentality is bad... got to change it somehow. heh. ohh ya, the exercises were okay except for the back raisers! my back hurts! ohh. the tubing is kinda bad too. my technic and speed was horrible! hehe. i tried my best anyway. hahaha. ohh well, today's training wasnt that bad afterall. +) bo0-ya! +)

training time: 8am-11.10am
venue: bishan stadium
weather: sunny
rating: * *

schedule: 3 hurdles - (24 small steps between hurdles) x 5, (7 big steps between hurdles) x 5, (5 stride hurdling) x 1.

reflection: today's training was going well until i couldn't clear the hurdles when the height was raised. i don't know why but i somehow feel that i can do it. hmm. just give me more time to practice with that height and getting used to it. :) yeppp. so well, the warm-up was a little tough for me and it tested my mental strength and i can say, a little, that my mental strength has improved. sure enough, there are more rooms for improvement but at least it improved! we ran 5 rounds outside the stadium as warm-up and for the last part, i somehow ended up running with rahimah and i felt that i had the urge to follow her and not wanting to be left behind. so, i followed her pace and i made it! yay! i hope that i didnt slow her down in the process... ohh no. anyway, sorry! :) so well, i just realised that i can pull my trail leg! i always thought that i couldn't do it, saying that i have tried already but in fact, it's just that i didn't take notice of it and that i could do it! heh. thank mr.tay for that! :) so when he told me, i took notice and pulled and i did it, without any pain! no pain anywhere! yay! i finally hurdled over one psychological barrier! wee* ohh well, the next barrier i have is not being able to clear the higher hurdles! hmm. well, yeppp. give me more time to practice, get used to it and i can do it! wee* :) hmm. i'm not trying to brag that i can do it for sure but i'm just trying to think in a positive manner after failing cuz i finally understood that thinking negative gets me no where. :) ks then, bo0-ya! i feel so much better today and i am quite satisfied with myself today. the 16m hop was a little tiring, the 60m run was okay but i'll have to take note on my starts and arm-swing. the first step of my starts is too big, so i'll have to shorten the first step. also, my arm is not pushing back enough. it seems a little stiff and i'll have to widen the angle of the elbow, enabling more powerful and less tense arm-swing. hmm. it's taken note! +) o0o. the 300m is so tiring! o0o my. haha. for the first set, it was okay and while running, i heard miss poon shouting across, saying something about my arm and so i then remembered and widened my arm-swing. the second run was terrible, as it was so tiring! i wanted to give up for the last 100m but i did not and pushed instead! at the same time, i was trying to maintain my technic though... hahaha. overall, i was happy with today's training as i have not only gotten better but also, i did not give up during training today! we had to run, not in the stadium but around the stadium - outside. we had to run 6 rounds. the starting was a little tiring for me as i was quite breathless after rushing down the stairs and to the meeting point where everyone put their bags. i saw everyone warming up already and that made me panicked a little. sheesh. -_- i guess i am paranoid... heh. so yeah, the first 2 rounds were quite difficult for me as i had to catch my breath. i managed to maintain constant breathings only after about 2-4 rounds. yeppp. all was going well when suddenly, my stomach ached. -_- i have no idea what happened to me. last training, i wasnt feeling well and felt that i didnt have any strength. now, my stomach ached. ohh no. i hope this is not a sign of burn-out mann. sheesh. i dont know what happened to me. i hope i'm not falling sick! ahh. ohh well, i poo-ed twice in between training ehh. so funny. came back home and poo-ed again. HAHA. nahh. after poo-ing, i felt so much better! i guess the problem lies in my large intestine OR, hehe i'm not eating enough fibrous food! HAHA. anyway, i hope that i can recover by monday and be on my top form again! yeah. not only my stomach ached, my muscles felt weak too. after running and doing drills, there seem to be a lot of lactic acid in my leg. ahh. i dont know what is happening to me! sheesh. why ar? so much lactic acid? hmm. i have no idea! hopefully i'll be all right by monday... yeah so, due to my weak mental strength, i was not able to complete the schedule and did only 3 sets... i gave myself 2 stars cuz i did not give up during the warm up and drills, for which i felt that i was going to die from the lactic acid in my leg. ohh ya, the high-knee lift wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and the squats werent that bad too. +) heh. bo0-ya! +)

training time: 8am-10.35am
venue: school
weather: sunny
rating: * *

schedule: hurdles, sesion 3: 1A (50), 1B (20), 1D (5) 2A (50), 2B (5), 3A (5), 3B (5), 3C (5), 4A (3), 4B (5), 5A (5), 5B (5).

reflection: i have no idea what happened today but i somehow felt tired... especially after the hurdle extension of 100metres, i felt that i couldnt take it. i could feel the lactic acid all over my body. after resting for a while, i felt a little giddy and have the feeling of wanting to faint, of should i say sleep? haha. i dont know. mr.tay asked me to take a rest but i said that i wanted to see and test out the schedule first. hmm. it wasnt that bad afterall. slowly, i felt better and i managed to complete the schedule! though i still felt a little tired in between... hmm as i have not only done but completed the schedule, i gave myself a rating of 2! if i hadnt felt that bad, i maybe could have given myself a higher rating. heh. bo0-ya then. +)
